What to expect at the zoo

What to expect at the zoo

Palm Beach Zoo is a walk-through visit across shaded pathways, with hundreds of animals from around the world. The zoo says most guests spend 2–4 hours exploring, so allow time for the grounds rather than planning only a brief stop.

The paths are stroller-friendly and easy to navigate. If you want to add an animal experience, plan for its separate registration and timing before setting off through the zoo.

Tickets and admission options

Tickets and admission options

General-admission prices vary depending on the day and time of year, so check the zoo’s ticketing page for current prices. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Opening hours

  • Monday to Sunday: 9 AM–5 PM

Last checked November 2026. Hours can change on holidays and for special events.

Active, reservist and retired U.S. Armed Forces members receive free admission with valid ID. Military guests can also receive 50% off admission for up to three additional guests; the discount does not apply to after-hours events. The zoo does not currently offer SNAP or EBT discounts.

Animal experiences require a separate ticket in addition to zoo admission. Everyone entering an experience needs an experience ticket, including toddlers ages 0–2, and general admission is also required for children in that age group attending an experience. Members do not need to buy admission unless they bring guests not covered by their membership.
